Now we are standing in the basement hallway looking back up the stairwell. I wanted going into the basement to be a pleasant transition, so we installed flexible white track lighting. Now we travel up to my studio, which is on the third floor. I found these great shelving units from either Crate and Barrel or CB2, which are fabulous storage for glues and paints. Since they are so shallow, they use the stairwell space efficiently. The wall hanging on the left is actually three 2'x3' satin cord rugs that I found on sale at Pier 1, just hung end to end. I finally photographed Stasia & Matt's wedding invitation and all the other printed paper items. The invitation was a metallic chocolate pocketfold card. I've been reading in Pam Carrier's book, Art at the Speed of Life, and I'm inspired to be a more frequent blogger. She encourages the reader to blog a little bit at a time, but more often. With a gift certificate to Downtown Frederick shops in hand (a thank you gift from Joellan & Chris for designing and pulling off their sensational wedding celebration!) Recently I've been re-re-organizing my studio. How the cycle goes is that I start working on a project. I get out the supplies. I work on it and I make a mess. Then I move on to another project without having fully cleaned up from the previous one. It's sort of a downward spiral where I get out more supplies and don't put them away. I also end up bringing in more stuff throughout this process. I

What if "not enough time" is just something we make up? What if you as an individual took on "there is plenty of time"? It might mean taking some things out of your schedule to have time for what you really want to be doing.
